Having lived in Hawaii nearly 45 years I do remember snow and of course I’ve been to Mauna Kea and we even took a ski trip to Park City a few years ago, but generally I’m a heat-seeking body and though there is nothing more beautiful than a fresh fallen snow, after about the first 20 minutes the novelty wears thin.
But a snowed in Washington as a good thing. For a start it forces a delayed vote on the SECOND STIMULUS (Son of Stimulus), this one they’re calling a “Jobs Bill” but it’s the same thing, more money down a hole. A large hunk of the first stimulus remains unspent -they’re saving that for later in 2010 and 2010 when they are really going to need an uptick in something looking like productive job creation if they ever expect to get re-elected. Don’t give them more money to waste.
And as always, keep your eye on what they sneak into any bill because there’s rumor that this is where they try to slip in the card check -you know the “Employee Free Choice Act” -anything but, which would give even more power to unions if you can imagine that.
Check out this video and see if this looks like job creation.
I don’t think so. Call Congress today, (202-224-3121). Tell them we don’t want “Card Check”!
