The Koran Gives Us The Right

Excessive government spending, jobs and the economy are so front and center for everyone (oh yeah, except for the Obama crowd) that terrorism and national security has taken a back seat as a campaign issue but it needs to stay right up there in the list of deciding factors when you contrast and compare candidates on various issues.

The spread of Islam is Military. We should not apologize for this. It is one of the injunctions of the Qur'an that you must fight to spread Islam." Dr. Ali Issa Othman

A curious thing happened in the recent sentencing of Faisal Shahzad, the Times Square Bomber. He blew off his attorney, instructing him not to speak and then began a tirade with the Judge. Shahzad is an American citizen emigrated from Pakistan (BTW, whoever says ‘no more immigrants from known terrorist countries’ gets my vote!), and the liberal judge just didn’t get it, saying to the effect, he seemed to be educable so now he can just spend the rest of his mandatory life sentence (pity we have to feed him *my words*) “carefully considering whether the Koran wants you to kill lots of people”.

But Shahzad told her like it is, reiterating Islamic Scholar Dr. Ali Issa Othman in the photo caption to the left. Smirking he said:

“The Koran gives us the right to defend. And that’s all I’m doing. We are only Muslims … but if you call us terrorists, we are proud terrorists and we will keep on terrorizing you. We do not accept your democracy or your freedom because we already have Sharia law and freedom.”

See the PC libs are always quick with an excuse why someone sinks to acts of terrorism. In this case, Shahzad a former budget analyst living in Connecticut had been foreclosed on (pity-party, here come the liberal tears), but he chose to build bombs rather than pay a mortgage he no longer needed (little did he know foreclosures would soon be out of style). Then Shahzad rubbed in in further when the judge asked if he’d sworn allegiance to the United States when he became a citizen last year. His reply:  “I did swear, but I did not mean it.”

Don’t forget, the means justifies the ends in Jihad. And believe it or not, like it or not, the Koran is full of numerous verses of violence. If you’re still not convinced national security and terrorism should be taken more seriously consider these statistics from the website, The Religion of Peace:

  • More people are killed by Islamists each year than in all 350 years of the Spanish Inquisition combined. (source)
  • Islamic terrorists murder more people every day than the Ku Klux Klan has in the last 50 years. (source)
  • More civilians were killed by Muslim extremists in two hours on September 11th than in the 36 years of sectarian conflict in Northern Ireland. (source)
  • 19 Muslim hijackers killed more innocents in two hours on September 11th than the number of American criminals executed in the last 65 years. (source)

I’ll leave you with this stark reality as you ponder who are the best candidates to lead our country forward, get us back on track to our traditional values and keep our citizens safe.

Aloha, Mikie

Strange statistics you quote and hard to confirm.
How about this one: The number of Vietnamese “civilians” killed during the U S occupation dwarfs the number of people killed during the Spanish Inquisition by a factor of 2,000x.

We may agree on one aspect of the Middle East. It is hard to confirm the ‘kill’ numbers, but Islamists are racking ’em up day by day in Muslim countries as well as so called infidel countries.

We need to get out of Iraq and Afghanistan, come home, shore up our own country with borders, language, culture. Get our own house back in order so to speak, and that is why the mid-term elections are so important. Most of the current crew in Washington –GOP & DEMS alike have shown us they are not going to do it.
