Fraud in Health Care? IBM’s $900B Savings Offer Turned Down By White House

This isn’t exactly new (late 2010) but I just learned about it and I thought it would be a nice change from Osama All the news, all the time bin Laden .

If you think there’s a lot of fraud and inefficiency in health care, and who doesn’t, this should amaze you. Maybe it’s just another example of government thinking government should do everything for all of us -and naturally they can do it better than the private sector. But there is no way anyone can claim that government can do it cheaper and more efficient than free!

That’s right. In an interview with the Wall Street Journal, Samuel J. Palmisano, the Chairman of the Board of IBM, said he made an offer to the President to reduce the cost of health care by $900 billion and IBM is so sure it would work, they offered to implement if for free! Why hasn’t this been heard in the mainstream media? $900 billion isn’t exactly chump change. In fact, it’s around 600 years aid to Pakistan.

Aloha, Mikie
