The American people sent a clear message to the ruling elite Tuesday. It was a mandate for change.
- We do NOT want Obamacare -repeal it ‘en toto’.
- We do NOT want amnesty. We want the border secured.
- We do NOT want the government to bankrupt us and our children, so quit spending like drunken sailors.
- We want jobs, so let up on the rules, regs and harsh government oversite in every aspect of our lives.
But the truth is, all the unhappy congressmen & senators who just got booted from office still have a month or so to do damage ~and they will. This is the last gasp for the spurned progs & libtards. The Heritage Foundation reminds us that Obamacare was rammed through on Christmas eve without a single Republican vote.
Look for a huge spending bill to be pushed through that the Republicans no doubt will agree to because remember, there is very little difference between the parties. They’re all big-government spendaholics!
This will be Harry Reid’s last chance to stick it to us. He will preserve corporate welfare for big “green” energy companies (whose directors and CEOs are big Democratic contributors/fundraisers.
And the president has promised unilateral amnesty for illegal immigrants. This could take many forms; deferred deportation, expansion of the DACA (Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals) program, or the granting of work permits for millions of illegals.
The sitting congress & senate do NOT have the spine to stand up to it as demonstrated time and again over the last 6 years. The presumptive Senate Majority Leader, Mitch McConnell has already said that there would be no government shut down. The ‘power of the purse’ is the only mechanism available to stop these egregious actions by the lame quakes, and the Republicans apparently would rather ‘go along to get along (and line their own pockets) than do what’s right for the American people. And unless the opposition party shows they can effectively resist Obama and the Progs, they will NOT win in 2016.
Just because we won the election does not mean we can relax till the new Congress get seated!
