The Inside Truth About Medical Marijuana

This from Belita Nelson the former representative of the Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) in the international media from 1998 to 2004 (hat-tip The Activist Post:

Marijuana is safe, we know it is safe. It’s our cash cow and we will never give up,”

medical-marijuanaNelson said the above to the audience of doctors and nurses, describing the actual modus operandi of the DEA. She became a convert from drug agency enforcer to marijuana advocate in 2000 watching her close friend suffer from late-stage cancer, losing more than 50% of his weight and no longer being able to eat or sleep. She resigned from the DEA in 2004 after becoming aware of cannabis’ ability to treat cancer’s many symptoms. Nelson procured marijuana for her friend, who, along with a better diet, was able to live nine more years.

When she quit the DEA she was fortunate in that the agency had failed to secure a confidentiality agreement—and by then she knew the dirt. “They called me in and said ‘name your price, $10,000 a month? $20,000? What do you want Belita?’” She said she left the office screaming,

“You know this is safe and you are keeping it from people who are sick! I am not taking your money and you better worry about what I am going to say!”

She described what many of us suspected – the DEA is corrupt to the bone and full of lies. The DEA refused to reschedule cannabis from a Schedule 1 drug last year when it had the opportunity, somehow concluding that ‘more research is needed’ to show cannabis has medical benefits. This is the same excuse the Obama administration used for the last 8 years in holding up the Keystone Pipeline, “we need more time to research the effects of it.” Bullcrap, this is nothing more than government protecting their partner in crime, BigPharma which knows cannabis is a threat to their profits.

Nelson described the DEA upon her departure like this:

“If you think the DEA are the good guys, they are not. They are really not. We are talking corruption on steroids.

    Hi Mikie,

We spent a couple of weeks in Thailand almost thirty years ago. From one end to the other. The most beautiful people I’ve ever seen were some Chinese living on top of a mountain at the Golden Triangle.

We did some driving and listening to Rush today. If half of the conservative people in the country stopped subscribing to the liberal papers and magazines and the web sites, we would go a long way to get rid of a lot of this despicable media. There would still be twitter and Facebook but the papers and mags would not be able to keep their pack of crap reporters. I don’t have words to describe some of the people in the WH news room. >
