Palestinian Authority’s “Pay-for-Slay” scheme to Continue

The Taylor Act was passed just this past March. It was named for the West Point graduate Taylor Force, who served both in Afghanistan & Iraq. Force who was visiting Israel as part of a Vanderbilt University study group when he was he was caught up in a terror attack and killed. The legislation was part of a large (aren’t they all?) bill to stop American economic aid to the Palestinian Authority until the PA changes its laws to cease paying stipends & rewards funneled through the Palestinian Authority Martyr’s Fund to individuals who commit acts of terrorism and to the families of deceased terrorists.

But like everything the government does, there were loopholes for instance the Taylor Act was not to affect the budget that the United States provides to the Palestinian Authority’s security and intelligence forces. But thankfully President Trump has found another source of money going to the Palestinian Authority and has decided to cut more than $200 million for projects in the West Bank and Gaza (hat-tip American Thinker).

The PA and Hamas already suspended talks with the US in the wake of the opening of our Jerusalem embassy, but this additional cut of $$ Trump is using as a way of telling them that their old strategy isn’t working anymore. None the less (from the newly appointed head of the PLO Commission of Prisoners vows to continue ensuring that terrorists and their families receive a monthly stipend. One mother of seven terrorist has so far received a staggering $1million through the “Pay-for-Slay” scheme. Obviously the govt is collecting too much from us in taxes if can still waste money like this.

One Response to Palestinian Authority’s “Pay-for-Slay” scheme to Continue

  1. Sandra Gray says:

It seems absurd to go through the gyrations that go on when our government is trying to pass a budget. As evidenced by our debt, not one iota of thought is given to it after it is passed, it just keeps piling up dozens of billions at a time.
Paul Theroux’s book, Deep South, describes the gyrations the humans working to help the disaffected people of the Deep South, go through to stretch a $100. Many people of the Deep South are in abject poverty because of the job transfers out of their lives to countries where people work for a few dollars a day. Many of those are the countries that hold our National Debt.
And then we send billions to countries like Palestine who out and out hate us and work against our country in every way they can. All the while piling up that national debt that we will never be able to repay.
What happens then? Do they come and get our money out of our savings accounts, etc, or do they just declare that the old money is no good and issue new money? And what do we use to get some of this new money, those of us who do not have stock piles of gold and silver.
