Flashback to 1991: “This is a high-tech lynching”.

The Senate Judiciary Committee in 1991 charged with recommending to the Senate a thumbs up or down in confirming Judge Clarence Thomas to the Supreme Court had eight Democratic and six Republican members, split largely along party lines -how unusual. In the end the committee deadlocked with a 7-7 sending the nomination to the full senate without an endorsement or recommendation for confirmation. The full Senate did however vote 52-48 to confirm, but it wasn’t pretty and sadly it laid the groundwork for what we are seeing today -only on steroids.

And now this is deja vu all over again! According to the Washington Post toward the end Clarence Thomas’ Supreme Court nomination hearings, Anita Hill, a former employee of Thomas’s came forward with sensational allegations of sexual harassment. The testimony took three days, with the hearing broadcast live. The nation was shocked, transfixed and deeply divided. This like the Kavanaugh circus, was a shameless attempt to thwart the appointment of an originalist to the Supreme Court.

This video illustrates Judge Clarence Thomas’ very sober response to the whole thing. Senator Danforth, Thomas’ mentor throughout the process later said in an interview with NPR,

“And for the people that wanted to defeat him, there was no limit, just anything goes. And I thought it was awful. And I hope that doesn’t happen to any other nominee. It’s not worth it. It’s not worth trying to destroy a human being.”

There’s really not much more to say. It was just as disgusting as the barrage of lies and last-minute accusations against Judge Kavanaugh.

The Left is so well organized with Soros’s money. They cover the country and have people ready to put in place where ever they need them. Just like the gangs of thugs that went around the country to beat up Trump supporters.

They have women ready to come to protest Kavanaugh being put on the court. Do they know what is going on? Do they care that Soros is not an American but trying to change America forever? Do the Republicans know what is going on, do they care?

The Republicans don’t seem to know what’s going on, at least most of them, but the progressives certainly know. It’s a very tenuous situation. Could go outta control at any moment – which of course is exactly what the left wants. “Play our way or we burn it down”.
