Murder, Mayhem & Destruction. How Will They Spin This One?

May 7, 2012

Remember the slaughter of the 13 Americans at Fort Hood (Nov 5, 2009) by the US Army jihadist, Major Nidal Hasan and the pitiful Defense Department classifying it

“Workplace Violence” ? ? ?

That’s beyond ballsy. That’s a freaking insult to your sensibilities and though I don’t always agree with Sen Susan Collins, (she voted for the Stimulus Bill, the SALT Treaty favoring Russia, and for the FDA Food Safety Modernization Act, to name a few) she rightfully blasted the Obama administration for failing to identify the act as radical Islam.

And BTW according to the American Thinker, the court-martial of Maj. Hasan has been delayed for a 2nd time by a military judge at the request of the lead defense attorney for Hasan. Can’t be having that stuff on the teevee so close to election, even if he did shout “Allahu Akbar” as he sprayed his hate and death far and wide that day.

But I’m wondering how with so much ‘Islam being the religion of peace’ and all, they’re gonna spin this one. Reported just yesterday, members of AQIM, al-Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb (the area of NW Africa made up of Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, Libya & Mauritania) *take this quiz* supported by the armed Islamist group have

“desecrated a saint’s tomb in the fabled city of Timbuktu, an act condemned by Malian authorities as ‘unspeakable.’ Timbuktu is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and cradle of Islamic learning . . . . . and home to nearly 100,000 ancient manuscripts.”

We all know it. There’s a long history of Islamic invaders defacing and destroying religious items and sites of other faiths, but American Thinker reports them attacking their own history.

Is it too much time in the desert sun, too much inbreeding or just how does one explain such barbaric behavior? I don’t know but I’d like to hear how the crowd from Homeland Security and the politically correct (not!) apologists in the White House will frame it this time.

More Unintended Consequences From Open Borders

November 21, 2011

Google is probably happy, but Oracle’s Larry Ellison may not be. Here’s the deal. Civil cases are being knocked off the docket in federal courts as a result of a glut of criminal cases particularly related to drugs and immigration according to a recent piece in the Wall Street Journal. Public defender cases are also getting short shrift, so it’s not just the big corporations being slighted, it’s everyone.

Ellison is suing Google claiming intellectual property infringement over patents held by Oracle Corp. that Oracle claims are being used in Google’s Android smartphone and it’s been dragging on for 2 years!

Additionally, government over-reach has expanded the federal rule book with heaps of new criminal statutes and regulations contributing to a 70% jump in the number of pending federal criminal cases in the last ten years with civil cases are getting squeezed the most.

Not surprisingly the districts with the most backlog are:

  • The 9th District which includes both our Northern and Southern borders (15,159 cases)
  • The 5th District which¬† includes Texas and our Southern border (13,012 cases)
  • The 4th District which includes Washington D.C. (12,265 cases)
  • The 2nd District which includes New York (7,764 cases)
  • The 11th District which includes Florida (6,394 cases)

The right to a speedy trial is guaranteed to defendants in criminal proceedings by the US Constitution (6th Amendment), and if the federal government would close and secure our borders it would be a lot better for criminal and civil defendants, not to mention the rest of us!

Aloha, Mikie
