Blago Off To Jail, Obama, No? Bernie Madoff Yes, Jon Corzine, Not Likely

December 8, 2011

Two Illinois state governors in a row convicted of fraud and corruption. Is this ‘the Chicago way’ gone bad? Hopefully (naive I know) it’s a sign that more of these bad actors get what they deserve. Buy why Blago and not Obama? And Tony Rezko, Obama’s racketeer neighbor and a fundraiser during Obama’s senate run (and that shady land deal), is now in the slammer and yet barely a mention of Obama’s role in this?

I love it that Rod Blagojevich is going away for a long time, and that his hair will soon be on the floor! I am not so happy that as he goes off to jail, he leaves behind 2 young daughters. How do you explain why daddy’s off to jail without lying -again? This is sad. Forget the wife, she was a willing accomplice just like Jerry Sandusky’s wife. They both knew what the hell was going on. Give them permanent conjugal visits.

As the MF Global story comes out and listening to Jon Corzine’s tale before a congressional panel today that he was devastated by the collapse of the commodities brokerage firm –when he caused it, is simply unbelievable! It’s gonna be, “I don’t recall” or “I plead the 5th”.

For a little history on Mr. Corzine; he was a Democratic governor of New Jersey before Chris Christy (a Republican in one of the most liberal democratic states) handily whopped him -that’s how sick Jersey was of his corrupt ways. He is also the former CEO of Goldman Sachs and one of Obama’s main conduits to Wall St, already having surpassed the $500,000+ level as a campaign bundler. Bernie Madoff is sitting in jail for the rest of his life, but if you think Corzine is gonna do any time for his egregious criminal acts, you are dreaming. He’s just another one of the ‘in’ crowd.

Aloha, Mikie
