Will China Take Our Resource-Rich Land & Our Reserve Currency Status In Exchange For Our Debt?

January 24, 2013

China is concerned (apparently more so than our own Congress) that the US cannot make good on its debts. They have recently and publicly for the first time, called for a new reserve currency though we already know of numerous direct trade agreements with many other countries eliminating the use of the US dollar. Check this out from Bill Holter at Miles Franklin to see the ramifications of the US losing the privilege of issuing the worlds’ reserve currency.

china dragon vs eagleHow will our debt be paid? It won’t be through a miniscule debt reduction over ten years if or when the Senate gets around to passing a budget. It won’t be by lowering the Social Security eligibility age a few years. It won’t be though taxation, no matter how high.

The Boston Globe reports dozens of Chinese companies are putting down roots in Detroit. We don’t have to exchange US debt held by China, Detroit is a fire sale! In addition these Chinese companies are hiring veteran engineers and designers in an effort to soak up the talent and expertise of domestic automakers and their suppliers.

According to Jerome Corsi at World Net Daily, the Bank of China, China’s central bank, continues to advance a plan to convert China’s holdings of U.S. debt into equity owned by China in the U.S. This started in 2009 after our last economic meltdown. Jerome Corsi asks

“Could real estate on American soil owned by China be set up as “development zones” in which the communist nation could establish Chinese-owned businesses and bring in its citizens to the U.S. to work?”

Obviously this plan has gained a lot more urgency on China’s part on day fifteen of the US government shutdown coupled with yet another debt ceiling ‘crisis’ before us. Would Obama sell us down the proverbial river? To get the monkey off our back? The answer is YES! In a heartbeat –in a New York minute, like an inner city tenement house on fire!

Again from Corsi, the Obama administration, under the plan, would grant a financial guarantee as an inducement for China to convert U.S. debt into Chinese direct equity investment. China would take ownership of successful U.S. corporations, potentially profitable infrastructure projects and high-value U.S. real estate.

Our ineffective, dishonest, self-serving leaders in Congress and the White House are setting up a very grim future for America and Americans.

It May Be The Smartest Thing Harry Reid Ever Uttered ~Well Next To The Cowboy Poetry Thing

July 15, 2012

Maybe it’s just me, but I can’t see our Olympic athletes donning those, ah how do I say it any other way (but gay?) uniforms Ralph Lauren came up with for the Summer Olympics in London. No, I am not the only one! Check this out.

I don’t know which is worse, the utterly puke design or the fact that they were made in China. This is what happens when you go the International route (think UN anything). Even Harry Reid, Senate Majority skeleton got this one right.

“The US Olympic Committee should be  ASHAMED” of itself. I think they should be embarrassed. I think they should take all the uniforms, put them in a big pile and burn them and start all over again,” Mr Reid said. “If they have to wear nothing but a singlet that says USA on it, painted by hand, then that’s what they should wear.”

Maybe I’m being a homophobe and this is a natural progression: DADT (Don’t Ask Don’t Tell) gets repealed, West Point holds its first Gay Pride Parade, Obama evolves into a gay marriage supporter and now this, but I don’t think so. What about you?

How Does This End?

December 22, 2010

It would be easier to swallow had it not been swept under the rug so quickly. Have you heard any follow-up to the preposterous story that the mysterious contrail seen off the coast of California last month was just the jet-stream from a commercial aircraft? We’ve all seen missile/rocket launches on TV over the years and their spiraling contrail looks nothing like aircraft jet-stream. The military and the government differ. Some retired military personnel say it was definitely a missile launch, but NORAD (North American Aerospace Defense Command) say it represents no threat to the United States.

Whatever you believe, here are some interesting facts you can believe about China:

80% of all artificial trees and 85% of all Christmas toys are made in China

China is the world’s leading producer of gold

China’s economy grew 47 times as fast as American’s in the past decade (316% vs. 43%)

Japan as recently as Friday, 12/18/2010 adopted new defense guidelines, labeling

China’s swelling military budget a ‘matter of concern’

China produces 97% of world’s supply of rare earth metals -the ‘iums’ (ytterbium, gadolinium, and cerium, etc.) used in the production of batteries, lasers, camera lenses, flat panel displays, jet engines and high temperature semi-conductors, among others according to OregonCatalyst.com.

As far back as 2009 China had surpassed all other countries in bio-ethanol patents with research into 2nd generation bio-ethanol (not derived from edible sources like our corn-based ethanol).

China refuses to reign its ally North Korea or join in sanctions against Iran

Our defense Secretary Robert Gates, warns of a “gathering storm” that threatens to sink future defense budgets. The biggest menace is a “growing mountain of debt” as we continue to fight 2 wars.

Annually, a third of the world’s maritime trade traverses the South China Sea which according to Asia Times Online, involves conflicting claims between China and five other nations.

China does not recognize Taiwan (Chinese Taipei, Taiwan, China or Taiwan, Province of China) and no country that does can have diplomatic relations with China. The USA only unofficially recognizes Taiwan.

As of Aug 2010, China holds $868.4 billion of our debt.

2010 Nobel peace prize winner, Chinese dissident Liu Xiaobo, remains in jail unable to accept the prize.

Who are we dealing with and massively in debt to and how will it play out for us? China’s position as the biggest investor in US debt may become political as well as economic. The kid brother is growing up and we better be paying attention.
