Sorry, but don’t let the facts smack you in the face

August 10, 2020

I’m still taking university classes and I love what I can learn in 5 minutes. That’s right Prager University, is teaching millions of people 5 minutes at a time. Who can’t spare 5 minutes here and there to get smarter? Here’s the latest and I like it so much I just have to post it here.

ESPN apparently cannot figure it out. We don’t want politics with our sports!

November 29, 2018

ESPN lost another two million subscribers in fiscal year 2018 (hat-tip Outkick The Coverage). In fact, since 2011 ESPN has lost 15 million cable and satellite subscribers. Those 15 million lost subscribers equate to $1.44 billion a year in lost yearly revenue that ESPN will never be able to recapture. One could say it’s strictly the way the business is going these days with all the alternate means of watching sports, the cable unbundling and all the streaming options, but I think it also has to do with the fact that we’re just tired of all the liberal commentators yammering all the time about political & social issues like gun control, the NFL’s embrace of the anti-anthem protests, and Caitlyn Jenner’s ‘Most Courageous’ award to name just a few.

The wonderful Prager University sums it up well in this recently video release on the subject.

Public Union: Public Enemy

October 1, 2018

I’m not sure what the Democrats have unleashed in this Kavanaugh confirmation circus, but I doubt it will be good. There are so many other things we need to be paying attention to.

I know we don’t have the time or energy to pay attention to things that really matter like crippling debt, unfunded liabilities and the total dysfunction in our federal government, but we do have non-stop entertainment from people like Hawaii Senator Mazie Hirono and the rest of the goons on the Senate Judiciary Committee.

But somehow lazy, mouthy Mazie found it acceptable to take campaign contributions from a Democrat who admitted hitting his wife, and looked the other way regarding Senator Daniel Inouye had his own #MeToo moment years ago. Oh and don’t forget about all the secret tax-payer funded pay-offs to women who’d been harassed by (mostly Democratic) Congressmen & Senators?

It’s a sad time for America is all I can say.

The “C” Word Back In Vogue

December 12, 2016

Words have meaning. The progs on the left have been hijacking our language for a long time, but we’ve got to put a stop to it!

Here’s what I suggest when store clerks or restaurant servers say “Happy Holidays”. Tell them, very politely of course, Oh, I much prefer “Merry Christmas”! And if you really want to set them straight, say AND GOD BLESS AMERICA.

Right this very minute, the unACLU (unAmerican Civil Liberties Union) is suing the small town of Knightstown, IN over a cross sitting atop the town’s Christmas tree! Can’t they just leave us alone and assume if we’re not cutting someone’s head off, we’re not offending them? Oh yeah, I almost forgot it’s the other side doing the beheading.

The ACLU sued on behalf of resident Joseph Tompkins, saying the tree cross “violates his First Amendment rights guaranteeing separation of church and state” and demanding the cross’ removal and payment of damages to Tompkins for being “forced to come into direct and unwelcome contact with the cross display” daily, the local radio station reported. Obviously Joe doesn’t know the Constitution or the First Amendment. No where in the Constitution is there any guaranty of a separation of church and state. No where.

Luckily the small town of Knightstown got the message from Trump:  We’re not playing the PC game anymore and we’re allowed to say Merry Christmas again. And hundreds of residents in Knightstown are fighting back, having placed crosses in their yards, stores, windows — and, yes, their cars.

A Good Idea Brought To You By Prager University

May 10, 2016

I must be getting old ~okay, that’s true every dang day a little bit more, but this makes a whole lot of sense to me. You know I often say a prayer thanking God for all that I have and all that I don’t have (oh yes, it could be a lot worse) and at the end I ask him to heal this country.

I think this would go a long way to healing our country, hat-tip Prager University.

Do you think we’d have fewer homeless people, less poverty, more productivity, better outcomes for children? How about less crime? Yep. Happier people, less division & more civility in society. Think about it.

Schumer Needs to Prove His “NO” Vote is Authentic

August 12, 2015

Ok so Senator Charles Schumer (I’ll just call him Chucky-Schumucky) has come forward to publicaly denounce the IRAN deal and he’s taking some heat for it for his disloyalty to Obama (I’ll just call him Ovomit). Don’t forget with the Dems it’s always party before country. Chucky-Schumucky says after carefully considering the deal he will vote against it. And there are plenty of good reasons to do just that.

I appreciate that Charles Schumer is voting against it, but unless he really gets busy rallying other Democrats to join him even if it means twisting a few arms ~enough to make it veto-proof, then it’s all just theater. And if this Politico story is to be believed, he is doing just the opposite reassuring Dems it’s just his personal vote and he isn’t whipping his collegues to vote along with him. He wants it both ways! He can go home to his constituents (& big Jewish donors) and say “I voted against it” knowing full well it won’t survive the president’s veto. But if he really wants to be a leader (he’s in line and very much wants the next Senate leadership position) then he needs to get off his butt and lead, not pull a McConnell as the Republican Senate majority leader did with his very safe votes on defunding Planned Parenthood. And you wonder why there is so much Trumpmania.

The Middle East Problem

August 5, 2014

It’s a very simple problem to explain and possibly the most difficult to solve. Especially with the mainstream media like CNN and MSNBC
