The Corportists Win Again

June 28, 2015

From Brietbart:

“There was a long line of advocates claiming responsibility for same-sex marriage’s victory at the Supreme Court on Friday, but a key driver was the support two years ago from 278 mostly multi-national tech companies that included Apple, Facebook, Google, Microsoft, Amazon, Cisco, eBay, Electronic Arts, Intel, Intuit, Oracle, Twitter and Zynga.”

Mark-Zuckerberg-Celebrate-Pride-640x480You see these days it’s never about what’s good for America or “We The People” it’s all about what’s good for the multi-nationals and there most certainly is a pay-off because government always lines up with the Corportists. It’s called crony capitalism. Ditto with the extension of the EX-IM Bank, the Fast Track to Free (ha-ha!) Trade. It’s the march to globalism and the One World Order led by the elites. To hell with everyone else.

These mega-corps filed a brief at the Supreme Court in 2013 urging the overturn of DOMA (Defence of Marriage Act) and the pressure has been relentless from then until the Supreme Court ruling this week.

They claimed that the same-sex recognition by most, but not all states “needlessly burdens those companies with extra costs and bureaucratic tangles.” They complained that the Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA) put the companies in the uncomfortable position of being forced “to treat one class of our lawfully married employees differently than another, when our success depends upon the welfare and morale of all employees.”

And don’t expect it to stop there because they won’t be happy to have gay marriage the law of the land, they’ll now go after our 1st Amendment right to free speech and religious freedom. If you disagree you’re a hater and a homophobe. They can never let it go. Businesses and individuals will purposely be targeted until they are ruined. You watch.

Three-Way Marriage; No Way, Yes Ways!

April 4, 2015

Who’s to say that the same discussions used to justify same-sex marriage won’t eventually pave the way for legalization of polygamy and incest? “Oh no, that would never happen”. Just like civil unions would not lead to gay marriage. But that transition was almost immediate in every state that adopted civil unions. Hawaii even held a special session of the legislature to sanction gay marriage.

You know that specious argument that gay marriage is a civil right? You have a protected right to love & marry whoever you please, bla, blady, bla, bla.

So here we have apparently the world’s first 3-way marriage in Thailand. Not that it’s legally recognized under Thai law, but the young love-birds are claiming they are sanctioned by Buddhist law. The young men are trailblazers of sorts as Thailand is now drafting a new charter for the national constitution said to include the term “third gender” for those who identify themselves as transgender, transsexual or gay. Can legalized 3-way marriages be far behind?

But it’s not just the children who suffer. Taxpayers do too. In Great Britain, multiple-partners are recognized in the government pension system. In France, they are recognized in the welfare system.

Our Federal Govt Lays Awake Nights to Think This Stuff Up

August 29, 2013

This is a humdinger and is sure to cause migraine headaches for all fifty states (or was it 57 . . . ;o). I swear the Justice Dept. and the Treasury Department, Health & Human Services, the EPA -all of them are on a non-stop course to bust all state budgets and of course keep themselves in control of every aspect or our lives and keep attorneys in work from here to eternity.

This just down from the Treasury Dept. today-

Gay Spouses in All States Can File Joint Taxes

Even in states where gay marriage is not legal (currently just 13 states allow gay marriage). They jumped right in right after the Supremes overturned part of the federal Defense of Marriage Act in June stating all federal workers with gay married partners would receive full federal benefits. But as usual, unintended consequences reared its ugly head. The feds realized many of the federal workers were joined in civil unions but not legally married in one states allowing it. The Dept of Defense will give ten days leave for same-sex couples to get married.

Why not an afternoon before a justice of the peace you ask? Don’t be silly, after all, it’s practically a human right to have a honeymoon, especially paid for by the US taxpayer.

According to Bloomberg, more than 200 provisions in the tax code and federal regulations reference marriage, affecting a range of financial matters such as retirement accounts and health benefits. This ruling (no doubt unconstitutional (tramples all over the 10th Amendment for just a start) also makes it easier for spouses to inherit tax-free money and same-sex married spouses have the option to amend returns three back and can seek refunds, but of course aren’t required to refile returns if they would pay more. This is akin to Lois Lerner with illegal IRS egg all over her face pleading the 5th when being questioned before Congress. They always get it both ways (no pun intended).

‘Obama Boy’ Replaces ‘Obama Girl’, Meanwhile Obama Usurps Congress Again Passing Dream Act

June 15, 2012

Nobody ever accused Obama of not being current, so it’s out with the old (Obama Girl), and in with the new (Obama Boy) now that the President has evolved on gay marriage.

Oh yes, we can laugh and point but sadly it does a great job of distracting us from the important things right under our noses.

Today Obama eased enforcement of immigration laws bypassing Congress once again. Read it & weep.

Let’s face it, he’s had a bad week or two and he’s hanging on by his fingernails so he will do anything to appeal to any segment of the population in this tough re-election fight. This time it’s Hispanic voters in swing states as Romney gains ground.

~Remember:  The government has NO resources. They produce NOTHING. They can only take from one group and give to others they feel more worthy of their largess (buying votes). It’s called pander to any group who may vote for me!

More Govt-Speak

January 17, 2011

Gender Neutral Passport Application + Bureaucratic tweak =

“Parent one” and “Parent two”

replacing “mother” and “father” on US passport applications beginning February 2011.

Translation: Another step to gay marriage.

Brenda Sprague, deputy assistant Secretary of State for Passport Services, said that their only consideration was improving accuracy.

“We find with changes in medical science and reproductive technology we are confronting situations now we would not have anticipated 10 or 15 years ago”.

Sorry babe, if you are talking science and reproductive technology, I’m pretty sure biologic parentage still results from a sperm (from the father) and an egg (from the mother) getting together.

But our own Governor Abercrombie (“exploder of the Birther conspiracy”) has it high on his priority list too, according to today’s paper -even ahead of the budget (which has a huge projected shortfall), and even though his predecessor vetoed it last session, deciding it would open the door to gay marriage which the majority of voters have already opposed.

Lest you think me unfair, bigoted and generally terrible, I am 100% in favor of civil unions (except as a stepping stone to gay marriage). A same sex couple in a legally sanctioned civil union should have all the rights and responsibilities of anyone else, some of which include:

  1. Joint parental rights of children & joint adoption
  2. Status as “next-of-kin” for hospital visits and medical decisions
  3. Domestic violence protection orders
  4. Automatic inheritance in the absence of a will, and death benefits
  5. Social Security & Medicare
  6. Joint filing of tax returns
  7. Wrongful death benefits for surviving partner and children
  8. Child support
  9. Joint Insurance Plans
  10. Estate and gift tax benefits
  11. Credit protection
  12. Medical care for survivors and dependents of certain veterans

But I cannot ever seeing myself changing the definition of marriage (one man and one woman) to include civil unions and I resent that it will be an issue and an agenda for many that includes the indoctrination of young people at the earliest opportunity in our public schools. I think our public schools and our public servants have bigger, more important jobs than pushing gay marriage.
