Compare And Contrast And Even a Few Surprises

We’ve had the gun control issue pushed in our faces continually over the recent years and it’s especially ramped up since the 17 kids were slaughtered by a whack-job kid well-known to the police and FBI  because they’d been repeatedly warned about him before he went on his murderous rampage.

This past weekend The March For Our Lives was held in Washington DC and other cities across the nation. The kids have been in the spotlight after weeks of hype from the usual suspects most notably CNN whose stance is we should listen to the kids who survived this massacre ~well at least those who are screaming (literally in many instances) for more gun control.

Strangely the father and brother of slain student Meadow Pollack, were denied the chance to speak at the March. Hunter & Andrew Pollack wanted to honor their daughter & slain sister but their focus is squarely on improving school safety and not more gun control or blaming the NRA so CNN was not interested in hearing from them. It doesn’t fit their gun-grabber mentality or agenda.

Interestingly however, when and if people slow down and listen to facts there’s an entirely different response and dialogue. Watch these actors read these ‘real gun facts’ off a teleprompter and their reaction.

These kids clamoring for more gun control and shouting their hatred for the NRA should know that the NRA is all about gun safety and self-defense going back a long way. Union veterans Col. William C. Church and Gen. George Wingate formed the National Rifle Association in 1871 dismayed by the lack of marksmanship shown by their troops they saw the need. The NRA also claims to be a civil rights enforcer. While African Americans were being terrorized by the Ku Klux Klan, where the Klan were sometimes aided by local law enforcement, the NRA setup charters to help train local African American communities to be able protect themselves.

The NRA has a long history of supporting gun control. In 1934, the NRA supported the National Firearms Act, which served to regulate and tax firearms that were considered used by gangsters at the time. They also supported the Gun Control Act of 1968, which expanded on the system to license firearm dealers and prohibit criminals and those with mental impairments from owning firearms. Today the NRA’s stance on gun control is to enforce existing laws more aggressively. We have seen in most of the last decade’s mass shootings that it was law enforcement, or other governmental agencies who dropped the ball on following existing laws or guidelines which could have prevented many of these tragedies.

And finally I’ll say this, I bet you did not know that Whoopi Goldberg is an NRA member. These other celebrities are either pro-gun supporters and/or NRA members:  Karl Malone, Sarah Palin, James Earl Jones, Johhny Depp, Tom Selleck, Gary Sinese, Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie, Eric Clapton, Bruce Willis, Ice-T, Clint Eastwood, Ted Nugent, Adam Baldwin, Kevin Sorbo, Dean Cain, Chuck Norris Miranda Lambert, and shock of all shocks, Michael Moore is an NRA lifetime member! And of course all the politicians and others, even the most mouthy anti-gun lib celebrities have armed guards for a reason. Why shouldn’t we have the same ability?

See What I Mean About The Serial Liar-in-Chief?

Wasn’t it just yesterday that I was saying what a liar our president is? Well I believe it was in comparing him to Putin. So here he is on ABC’s “This Week With George Stephanopoulos” yesterday saying

“he had 80 to 90 percent of the country agreeing with him in favor of gun control, but the he could not get gun-control legislation enacted because of a “faction of the Republican Party.”

Yeah, that’s right the faction of the Republican Party who still believe in the 2nd Amendment! And if you had 80-90% of the country agreeing with you on gun control then those 10-20% sure bought a lot of guns in response to you and you cohorts’ (Feinstein, Biden, Piers Morgan *please do back to the UK if you hate America so much*) obsession with gun control. We’ve had year after year of record-breaking gun sales in response to those anti-Second Amendment actions by the government.

Oh and by the way, prez if you had 80-90% of the country behind you on gun control why did those 2 Colorado State legislators who voted in favor of stricter gun measures against the will of the people, just get their butts recalled? Because the majority of the people do not want stricter gun control. And according to Forbes and many other sources -including the Dept. of Justice, as gun sales soar, gun crimes plummet.

Look for another big push from the left now that another nut-case has killed several people today at the Navy Yard in Washington D.C. They just don’t get it and they feel absolutely no compunction about lying trying to make their case. What Obama needs to realize as all the gun dealers have experienced is the move for more gun control is great for gun& ammo sales.

This man is becoming my hero. He’s a freshman US Senator and one of very few standing up for “We The People“. He is not pushing for the immigration reform many others have embraced as a way to buy votes or secure a cheap labor force, he is not encouraging us to just do something for the children of Newtown. Because this despicable excuse for a human being politicizes everything, most recently the 7 Marines killed last week in a training exercise!

Don’t forget about all the tax cheats working for the federal govt as employees as well as in the administration. You or me, we’d be in the slammer! Oh and then there’s the perks and bennies for the elite ruling class.

What about gun control? You better believe the big-wig government elites & politicians have armed bodyguards. Their children’s schools have armed guards. Many of them likely have guns they work so hard to take from us. And why is there a severe shortage of ammunition of late? Well it could be the buying spree HHS, DHS, IRS and even the National Weather Service has been on stockpiling ammo, tanks and yes- assault weapons! They say they’re buying in bulk to save money. HA! that’s a knee slapper. the whole thing reminds me of China,

Officials in Cyprus have officially stolen money from general depositors of the banking system in order to cover their bad debts & bets ~and they are telling the people it’s the best thing for them. Holy crap!!!

Funny, Ok Not So Funny, How Things Change As They Move Through The Bowels of Government

It’s the same locally or nationally. A bill or law starts out one way then as it moves through the bowels of government (along with all the feces attached) it somehow gets bastardized into something completely different.

Senate Bill 69 in Hawaii started out as a gun “buy-back” bill has morphed into a firearm registration and background check bill. This would require fingerprinting and processing through the NATIONAL Instant Criminal Background Check System (NICS) in addition to the already existing registration requirement on ALL firearms brought to the state.

Remember all NATIONAL gun

prelude to gun confiscation

You may have been unfortunate enough to have suffered though President Obama’s 2nd State of the Union Address a couple weeks ago, and if so you have my sympathies. It was the usual ‘ gotta tax the rich some more; fair and balanced; rebuild America’s infrastructure; protect our kids and make America a safer place; put 100,000 more teachers in our schools,  bull-crap sorta speech.

A Right Is A Right -Except When That Right Is NEVER Allowed!

Hawaii’s Right to Carry law is ludicrous in it’s obvious absurdity. Its justification and ultimate approval is left entirely to the Chief of Police of the respective counties and according to NRA’s gun laws by State,

“We have been advised that the County Police Departments (of the State of Hawaii) will not approve a Concealed Carry license for any reason.“

Right to Carry, or CCW (carrying a concealed weapon), as it is known in gun rights parlance refers to the practice of carrying a handgun or other weapon in public in a concealed manner, either on one’s person or in close proximity.

Forty-nine states allow citizens to carry concealed weapons, Illinois being the only exception. Illinois has until May 2013 to draft a CCW law after its ban on carrying concealed weapons was overturned in December by a federal appeals court and declared unconstitutional. The judge in that case wrote in the majority opinion:

“The Supreme Court has decided that the 2nd Amendment confers a right to bear arms for self-defense, which is as important outside the home as inside.”

Illinois’ ban was overturned with the help of the Second Amendment Foundation and 2 individuals who filed suit. Sounds like there needs to be a test cast against Hawaii’s virtual ban on Concealed Carry.

We have got to start doing things another way!

Eleven Armed Guards At Sasha & Melia’s School

Are the President’s kids more important that yours? No of course not, but among the elite it doesn’t matter.

NObama is too smart crafty and wily to completely cross the line by banning guns. The 23 separate executive actions he will sign contain words and phrases like-

• The administration will issue a memorandum . . .  to make relevant data available to the federal background check system
• Address unnecessary legal barriers in HIPAA laws that prevent states from ratting us out
• Improve incentives to share information with the background check system
• Direct Attorney General to review categories of people prohibited from having a gun
• Propose rule making; provide guidance; Launch a safe and responsible gun ownership campaign; Review safety standards; Release a DOJ report on lost & stolen guns; nominate ATF director, Maximize efforts; Issue Presidential Memorandum to CDC to research causes; Clarify that doctor can ask patients about guns; Develop model emergency response plans; Clarify the scope of mental health services Medicaid must cover; Finalize regs on essential health benefits with Affordable Care Act; Commit to finalizing mental health parity regs; Launch national dialogue . . . . bla-blady-bla-bla.

It’s all bureaucratic gobble-di-gook!

It’s gonna be another “feel-good, make work” program that costs a ton of money (we don’t have) and it will accomplish no meaningful change in gun violence but goes a long way to chop, chop, chop away at our liberties.

They will make it more expensive, more time-consuming & more onerous to own, buy and register guns or buy and store ammo. Basically this reduces your ability to protect yourselves against criminals with guns, but far more importantly it’s another step (drip, drip, drip) to disarming the citizenry and removing the last stop-gap between us and tyranny.
