This One’s Up To Us. “We The People”

August 3, 2013

The last best hope for getting rid of Obamacare is up to us folks. Congress has only 9 working days after returning from the current recess to fund the Continuing Resolution to fund the government. The only way to get rid of Obamacare now is to refuse to fund any part of it. Click this link, scroll down and start calling -even if you’ve never done it before. Now is the time to GET OFF YOUR BUTTS!

Congress will only do it if they hear from MILLIONS of us. They don’t have the backbone or political will to do what’s right for America unless forced. The only thing that will force them to do it is fear of being thrown out of office.

What have you heard good about the Affordable Health Care Act? Nothing! What major government program has ever gone away once implemented? None! If this doesn’t piss you off nothing will:

Last week the IRS, the very department charged with enforcing Obamacare has gone to Congress asking to be exempted from Obamacare! This is pure unadulterated gall! And those in Congress and their aides who will be forced to buy insurance under Obamacare (leaders in both parties & their staff have already been exempted), according to the EIB Network, will be lavished with taxpayer-funded subsidies to the tune of 75%.

Sign the Petition Now-

Don’t Fund It!

There is NO Measure of the Gall These People Can Come Up With!

May 23, 2013

Follow me here for just a second. First Lois Lerner responds to a planted question yielding her off the cuff apology for the IRS unfairly targeting (is there a justification for any targeting by the IRS?), Tea Party & conservative groups.

Next we learn the broad in charge on the division go after tax exempt organizations doesn’t get fired (“acting” IRS Commissioner Steven Miller, due to retire in 2 weeks instead, took the fall), she gets huge bonuses & a promotion and will now become the IRS Obamacare muscle.Up yours

Then, even though he’s resigned, fired -whatever, Steven Miller goes in front of the committee day after day, and “can’t recall”, “doesn’t remember”, “didn’t know anything” and didn’t lie”. Bull-crap. It just doesn’t pass any smell test. He lied his arse off!

Next NTEU, the union which represents the National Treasury Employees (IRS) have asked to be exempted from Obamacare. How cheeky is this?? Pretty damn is how cheeky it is. They lobbied for Obamacare, they were in his corner all the way with Obama’s massive takeover of one-fifth of the economy. Then they harassed and delayed tea party and conservative groups’ tax exempt status ensuring Obama’s re-election and success, and NOW they want to be exempt from Obamacare!

But that’s all past history “it happened so long ago” as Jay Carney said of Benghazi. Today, the Internal Revenue Service has decided to thumb their noses at us once again according to this announcement on the IRS Website,

“Due to the current budget situation, all IRS offices will be closed on May 24, June 14, July 5, July 22 and August 30.”

“Up yours Mr. & Mrs. Public, we’ll take as many 3-day weekends as we can possibly get away with”.

Oh, and one more thing, Lois-baby has been put on administrative leave. That means a free, paid vacation for who knows how long, courtesy of the US taxpayer. Like I said, there is NO measure of the gall these people have.

The IRS Gets One Right, But Don’t Expect Much Impact

June 30, 2011

CAIR’s (Council on American Islamic Relations) tax exempt status yanked by the IRS!

Hooray, it’s about time. Maybe the IRS is wising up. Hey, I’d even reconsider my stance on the FairTax (which abolishes the IRS among other things) if the tax-Nazis did more of this. Just kidding, I still favor the Fair Tax. And while we’re at it, I don’t think churches should be tax exempt either (Catholic pedophile priests comes to mind), but that’s another story for another time.

Just another peace-loving group of Muslims

CAIR is only one of many Muslim Brotherhood affiliated organizations with tax exempt status because they are so clever at the game and have pulled the wool over nearly everyone’s eyes as to what they are really all about (funding extreme Islamic dogma and forcing sharia law on America). But failure to make required tax filings, namely Form 990, providing an organization’s mission, programs, and finances –FOR 3 CONSECUTIVE YEARS might have exceeded even the IRS’s willingness to look the other way for certain groups enjoying a special favored status by our government and the majority of the media.

Oh I don’t expect them to go away. They’ll reinvent themselves (just like ACORN did) and be back in business before you have time to look up and understand the word taqiyya.

Heaven Forbid the Feds Should Miss a Holiday

April 17, 2011

Emancipation Day celebrated only in Washington D.C. fell on Saturday, April 16th, which if celebrated yesterday would have caused the feds to heaven forbid, miss a holiday! Can’t have that. Hence the April 18 filing deadline this year.

I’ve been an habitual extender. Face it for normal people (unlike General Electric, Boeing or other friends of government), tax time is a major pain in the butt.

Tax compliance has become so onerous, expensive and time-consuming, it’s ‘national dread day’.

Until we pass the FairTax! Check it out:

  • Federal personal & corporate income taxes, estate taxes, gift taxes, capital gains taxes, the ATM tax, Social Security and Medicare taxes plus self-employment taxes all go away and are replaced with a simple, national sales tax on new goods and services
  • 67,000+ pages of tax code, vs 133 pages in The Fair Tax Act
  • Spending $3 trillion to figure out taxes every year vs looking at a shopping receipt
  • Politicians and lobbyists playing favoritism with exemptions and social engineering vs one clear rate for all Americans beyond the poverty line
  • Regressive payroll taxes off the top of your earnings vs not paying taxes on necessities
  • Paying the IRS before you see your paycheck vs pay-as-you-go taxes only on what you choose to spend
  • Declining Social Security solvency vs a strong base of revenues and cost of living indexing for seniors
  • IRS intrusions vs simple cash register payments
  • Criminals & foreign visitors not paying taxes vs everyone paying national sales tax on all new goods and services purchased
  • US manufacturers at a worldwide tax disadvantage vs eliminating corporate taxes giving American businesses a huge competitive advantage
  • Trillions of dollars held offshore due to high US taxes vs tax-free investments back into our economy
  • Continued loss of jobs to China, Mexico, India vs the ‘Made in America’ label

Holy Cattle – This Just in from the IRS

February 17, 2011

Yesterday’s Daily Caller reports:

The Internal Revenue Service says it will need a battalion of 1,054 new auditors and staffers

and new facilities at a cost to taxpayers of more than $359 million in fiscal 2012 just to watch over the initial implementation of President Obama’s healthcare reforms. Among the new corp will be 81 workers assigned to make sure tanning salons pay a new 10 percent excise.

Does this look like a president who now understands what ‘We the People’ want in the way of deficit reduction? If this isn’t a case for a total tax reform I don’t know what is. Do you think the IRS came out with this on their own? I doubt it, they are at the beck and call of the administration which continually talks out of both sides of their mouth.

The President’s budget does not include a single difficult decision, yet he says he is willing to compromise and work with the House Majority. Where’s the leadership here? This makes them the villains when they do come up with the real substantial cuts necessary. It’s the same with the GOP being forced to shut down the government if they push for conditions on raising the debt ceiling.

First of all, everyone needs realize that shutting down the government is not a bad thing. It’s called Time Out!

Mitch Daniels, a likely GOP presidential candidate tells it like it is regarding doing the hard work of deficit reduction,

“When infinite demand meets finite supply, you have a problem.”

But even better, Daniels admits his fellow Republicans need to admit this too and get down to work. Just like senator Rand Paul says, it’s not just Republican vs Democrat, it’s can the country sustain that level of debt?  Answer:  Not even!

Please urge your Congressmen and women to get serious on the budget (and part of this is tax reform). All entitlement programs need to be cut (medicare, medicaid and social security) and there needs to be means testing to qualify for entitlements. Here’s all you need to do:  find your state on this map and away you go!

Special Tax Favors

January 14, 2011

Over the last 5 days I wasted a lot of time doing GET taxes for the State of Hawaii (for the privilege of doing business -ha!) and Federal and State Estimated taxes that are due on Jan 20th. I hate it!

Most people probably wouldn’t admit it, but I’ll bet everybody is or has been at one time or another a little bit intimidated by the IRS or State Tax Dept. Naturally those in thick with the politicians who have the proper amount of influence and willingness to grease the skids, aren’t intimidated by the IRS because they’re used to having the tax code modified (600 changes in 2010 alone) to favor their personal or business situation.

A quick Google search -key words “special tax consideration” netted me 7,460,000 results in 0.10 seconds. Is it any wonder that by the IRS’ own admission, our tax code now has 3.8 million words, which would fill 11,045 single-spaced pages? And compliance is expensive! FairTax.org estimates citizens and businesses spend about $300 million every year to figure out our taxes!

If you don’t qualify for special tax consideration, here’s some friendly advise.

There’s a better way -Simplify the Tax code!

It can be done but not without a lot of Americans like you and me writing Congress demanding tax reform. Here’s how to contact your Congressmen and women and here’s a list of all US Senators. They’re waiting for your call (with special operators standing by -NOT). The truth is you have to be persistent, leave a message with their staff and tell them you expect them to support tax reform to help get the country and the economy back on track.

Get informed be a part of the change we so desperately need.

Bad Odds

December 17, 2010

And a dead weight on the economy! We have the 2nd highest taxes in the world. If you call the IRS hot-line 25-30% of the time you’re gonna get the wrong answer (and they’ll hold you responsible)! If you doubt it try calling the IRS with a specific question (OK, maybe if you’re unemployed or bored), then try it 3 more times. I’ll bet you get at least a couple of wildly divergent answers.

Enjoy this week’s installment on tax reform! Be sure to see my Tax Reform Videos (Categories in the right side panel) to raise your tax reform IQ!
