Guns & Ammo Confiscated from Evacuated Homes During Flooding in Alberta, Canada

While the mice are away the cat will play? The Royal Canadian Mounted Police used the flooding and evacuation as a convenient excuse to round up legally owned, private citizens’ guns (hat-tip The Blaze) in Alberta, Canada where recent high water and flooding forced owners from their properties.

One business owner was ticked off and rightly so.

“Now what they’re doing is looking for firearms and ammunition.  How do they have the right to do that? What does that have to do with the disaster?  …This is martial law.  What has happened to our country?”

Reminds me of Hurricane Katrina in September of 2005 where New Orleans PD and the US Army National Guard, along with US Marshals confiscated all civilian-held firearms. It took the NRA & the Second Amendment Foundation filing suit some 7 months later to get the City of New Orleans even to admit they had seized weapons.

And what about Watertown, MASS? After the Boston Marathon bombings heavily armed goon squads went door to door yanking US citizens out of their homes at gun point and openly confiscated lawfully owned firearms from its residents.

Searching for bombers is one thing; door to door harassment and gun confiscation from citizen is quite another whether it occurs here or Canada.

This is why we have to stand firm every time, every issue and every excuse they use to treat US citizens like outlaws and confiscate lawfully owned weapons. This would be a good time to join the NRA. They’re fighting for our 2nd Amendments rights.

Knock-knock, “I’m From The Govt -I’m Here To Help” (Along With 1.6 Billion Rounds)

This bizarre federal government procurement includes various federal agencies amassing unprecedented amounts of guns and ammunition.

Govt agencies are stockpiling massive amounts of guns and ammunition. WHY?

Among them:

• The Dept of Homeland Security
• The IRS
• The Social Security Admin
• The National Weather Service

WTF ?? I don’t know but I can only guess and it doesn’t end well. One point six (1.6) BILLION rounds -enough to kill every American 5 times over and the next installment adds another 21 Million rounds. This has all occurred over the last 10 months.

According to Paul Joseph Watson at infowars.com, and numerous other sources:

“While Americans are being browbeaten with rhetoric about the necessity to give up semi-automatic firearms in the name of preventing school shootings, the federal government is arming itself to the teeth with both ammunition and guns.”

I know I’ve been on this gun control/2nd Amendment jag for a long time, but it’s getting out of control. It’s time folks to get off your butts! Write, call, fax and email your Congresspeople and ask WTF? I’m making it as easy for you as possible. Use any of the above information, but DO IT!

Click here to get name, phone, fax and web access to all your Congressmen & women and ask them for a complete investigation. We need answers. What is the federal government planning to do? Tell them you do expect to hear back from them.

A Right Is A Right -Except When That Right Is NEVER Allowed!

Hawaii’s Right to Carry law is ludicrous in it’s obvious absurdity. Its justification and ultimate approval is left entirely to the Chief of Police of the respective counties and according to NRA’s gun laws by State,

“We have been advised that the County Police Departments (of the State of Hawaii) will not approve a Concealed Carry license for any reason.“

Right to Carry, or CCW (carrying a concealed weapon), as it is known in gun rights parlance refers to the practice of carrying a handgun or other weapon in public in a concealed manner, either on one’s person or in close proximity.

Forty-nine states allow citizens to carry concealed weapons, Illinois being the only exception. Illinois has until May 2013 to draft a CCW law after its ban on carrying concealed weapons was overturned in December by a federal appeals court and declared unconstitutional. The judge in that case wrote in the majority opinion:

“The Supreme Court has decided that the 2nd Amendment confers a right to bear arms for self-defense, which is as important outside the home as inside.”

Illinois’ ban was overturned with the help of the Second Amendment Foundation and 2 individuals who filed suit. Sounds like there needs to be a test cast against Hawaii’s virtual ban on Concealed Carry.

We have got to start doing things another way!
