Like A Slap Upside The Head

September 28, 2009

Okay, I listened to the President’s message to the school kids a week or so ago and gave him the benefit of the doubt. What I think happened is he got so much flack ahead of time, he toned it down and gave a great speech without the social or political education a lot of us had expected. They also axed the follow-up lessons (likely the true agenda) on how the kids could help the President.

But I’ve seen the light and it reminds me we cannot let down our guard. Two things in particular over the last couple weeks have brought that home to me –like a slap upside the head.

  • First was how the uber-left leaning operatives in the Democratic Party enlisted the NEA, (National Endowment for the Arts) an independent agency of the Federal Government, i.e., paid for by you and me, in a conference call (which included the White House) to help get the President’s message (agenda) out. You know, why not create art with a message, never mind that the NEA is supposed to be independent and non-partisan and has no business pushing anyone’s message!
  • Second is this way over the top video showing kindergarten kids in a New Jersey public school singing the praises of Barack Hussein Obama to the tune of ‘Jesus Loves Me, Yes I know’! How blatant is that? I kid you not -take a look.

By all accounts, the school principal was aware of this, condones it and now after some uproar from parents is defending it as a part of Black History Month. All I can say is, if you have kids in the public schools, you’d better not just be dropping them off at the door or pushing them in the direction of the little yellow school bus each morning and assume they are learning what you want them to be taught!

That’s it for now!
