These Figures Are Somewhat Telling

November 22, 2017

The “before & after” figures below came from in a Tweet from our friend Julian Assange, an Australian citizen and founder of Wikileaks. But let’s back up for a second. WikiLeaks is an online library of secret government documents, news leaks, and classified media, all collected from anonymous sources. It publishes this information to give whistle-blowers a platform to expose hidden truths about various governments and institutions around the world. To the best of my knowledge & research, nothing ever published by Wikileaks has turned out to be false. No wonder so many in government & politics hate Assange. But back to this very interesting set of figures.

A comparative study of the net worth before running for President of the United States, and after.

The before:

  • Donald Trump – $4.5 Billion
  • Barack Obama – $3 Million
  • Bill & Hillary Clinton – $480,000

The after (current net worth):

  • Donald Trump – $3.5 Billion
  • Barack Obama – $40 Million+
  • Bill & Hillary Clinton – $100 Million+

How is that? Well in a reply Tweet, here is the answer.

“You can’t get rich in politics unless you’re a crook.” . . . . Harry S. Truman

“A Paragon of Party Discipline And Unity” – The Democratic Party

July 25, 2016

This is what was promised according the New York Times, “a paragon of party discipline and unity”. After viewing the Republican convention in Cleveland last week, especially the first day when there was a lot of dissension on the floor over RNC rules Mrs. Clinton (Hildebeast) promised her supporters:

“I can tell you we’re going to have a very different kind of convention.”

Unfortunately for Mrs. Clinton, the Bernie apparatchiks refused to fall in line. never vote for hillary

DWS

T-I-L-T

Bernie or bustIt all came apart with the WikiLeaks release of 20,000 Democratic National Committee emails days before the convention spotlighting concerted effort by party leaders, most especially Debbie Wasserman Schultz (DWS), head of the DNC and Representative from the State of Florida, to undermine Bernie Sanders. She’s supposed to be neutral after all, but WikiLeaks had the goods on her and many others.

WikiLeaks also revealed that the Democratic Party and Politico have a special relationship where party operatives get to review and offer comment on stories Politico will publish. How nice for them that they get to shape the narrative right out the gate.

There are plenty of Bernie supporters who are still feeling slighted regarding the power the super delegates have over actual voters and the WikiLeaks release of the emails sent the boat over the falls. DWS realizing she was not going to survive this agreed to step down after the convention and the DNC stripped her of her speaking slot. Then she was booed at the opening day breakfast and had to whisked off the stage by security and it may just be over for Debbie. It was her party, her big event but it imploded because of her own corruption and I wouldn’t be surprised (or disappointed) if she loses her House seat too!

Willing Accomplices To al-Qaeda &Treason In Our Own Government

May 9, 2012

Obama said al-Qaeda has been “decimated.” But I sorta hafta to agree with Bob here:

Treasonous behavior in our own camp & al-Qaeda’s many accomplices:

The US Dept. of Justice, the White House & The Defense Dept for massive failure to wipe out this threat in the name of multiculturalism and PC bull-crap. Imagine trying 9/11 terrorists in the US criminal system! Imagine releasing GITMO terrorists back into the battlefield! Imagine negotiating with the Taliban! Imagine outing NAVY Seals and squandering all the intel collected so they could crow? Ditto for the CIA double agent who just thwarted another underwear bomber? Those guys risk their lives to keep us safe and the above party hacks would rather brag.

NY Times  has forced the New York Police Dept to remove the counter-terrorism training documentary The Third Jihad (Radical Islam’s Vision for America) in their continual effort to tie the hands of law enforcement in all efforts against radical Islam

CAIR – Council on American Islamic Relations founded by Hamas operatives intimidate by litigation against any group speaking out against radical Islam or Muslims demanding special treatment in the workplace, and our schools and communities

AMJA – Assembly of Muslim Jurists of America. Muslims in America in support of enforcing Sharia Law

The Muslim Brotherhood clothed in suits, ties and nice language they have infiltrated all aspects of American society from our schools & universities to every level of our government

ISNA – Islamic Society of North America, promote internships for Muslims in the State Dept. & other govt agencies

WikiLeaks proved there are numerous businesses, madrassas & mosques, and charities who act as ATMs for the many-headed al-Qaeda.

A short list of some known al-Qaeda affiliates:

  • Armed Islamic Group
  • al-Qaeda in Iraq
  • al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula
  • al-Qaeda in Somalia
  • al-Qaeda in Maghreb (NW Africa)
  • Salafist Group for Call and Combat and the Armed Islamic Group
  • Egyptian Islamic Jihad (Egypt)
  • Al-Gama’a al-Islamiyya
  • Jamaat Islamiyya
  • The Libyan Islamic Fighting Group
  • Bayt al-Imam (Jordan)
  • Lashkar-e-Taiba and Jaish-e-Muhammad (Kashmir)
  • Asbat al Ansar
  • Hezbollah (Lebanon)
  • Al-Badar
  • Harakat ul Ansar/Mujahadeen
  • Al-Hadith
  • Harakat ul Jihad
  • Jaish Mohammed – JEM
  • Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam
  • Jamiat-ul-Ulema-e-Pakistan
  • Laskar e-Toiba – LET
  • Moro Islamic Liberation Front (the Philippines)
  • Abu Sayyaf Group (Malaysia, Philippines)
  • Al-Ittihad Al Islamiya – AIAI (Somalia)
  • Islamic Movement of Uzbekistan
  • Islamic Army of Aden (Yemen)

Al-Qaeda has been decimated about like the legendary Mogwai pet of the Gremlins fame who spawns into other creatures and evil monsters. Only it’s not over when the popcorn’s gone and the lights come up. It’s going to be here forever so let’s get our heads out of the sand!

More Wiki Fruit- Hope in Arab Regimes

January 27, 2011

I was amazed to learn that 70% of facebook subscribers are outside the United States. I was not surprised to see that one of Mark Zuckerberg’s likes listed on his facebook page was facebook. If it had earned you $6.9 Billion you’d like it too!

But more interesting to me is that facebook has become the tool fueling (along with Twitter) major change in other countries. According to a Los Angeles Times story, Wikileaks website’s release of thousands of U.S. diplomatic cables for all the supposed damage it did has also exposed the corrupt underbelly of many Arab regimes.

There is no free press or other outlets for truth in these countries, many of which are repressive police states. So it was

Mohamed Bouazizi's final act -a huge sacrifice that toppled a despot

the desperate act of a fruit seller in Tunisia who set himself ablaze

that sparked further protests organized on facebook that 4 weeks later toppled President Zine El Abidine Ben Ali’s regime.

The revolution has brought hope to all Arabs who had long ago lost any enthusiasm that they would ever be able to get rid of authoritarian domination.

Jordanians, Libyans and Algerians have taken to the streets now emulating the Tunisian model.

Anti-government protesters in Egypt are clashing with Egyptian riot police as we speak, calling for reform. Sectry. of State Hillary Clinton and other American diplomats of course are walking a tight rope here because much like the US backing of corrupt Karzai in Pakistan, we have backed (to the tune of $1.5 billion/year) Mubarak’s ever more repressive government over the last 30 years, all the while looking the other way when it came to human rights and liberty.

The people living under these despotic regimes have Wikileaks, facebook and twitter to thank for doing what decades of delicate diplomacy, conflicting motivation and interests in the Western world has failed to do.

Let’s hope these uprisings for more democracy won’t be ‘Iran 1979’ all over again with Islamic extremists hijacking the movement. They are the most organized and best-funded and they are opportunists who know exactly what they want- Sharia Law.

Culprit or Hero?

December 16, 2010

In its landmark ruling on the “Pentagon Papers” the US Supreme Court ruled that,

“Only a free and unrestrained press can effectively expose deception in government.”

WikiLeaks agrees. It took considerably more time and work for Daniel Ellsberg to do the deed back in 1971, xeroxing some 7000 pages as opposed to a quick download of thousands of scanned documents which became the source material for WikiLeaks.

Ellsberg worked for the State Dept in Vietnam for 2 years after serving as a company commander in Vietnam and admits hearing and keeping secret for too long the many lies about the Vietnam War that he was privy to as a former U.S. Marine and military analyst. According to U-S-History.com, the release of Ellsberg’s “Pentagon Papers” succeeded in substantially eroding public support for the Vietnam War, exposing the duplicity of President Johnson’s words to the pubic in promising no intention of invading Vietnam, meanwhile escalating war plans even though there was a consensus in the Defense and State departments that the United States had no realistic chance of victory. Sound familiar?

Okay, so they have Assange out on bail and Army Pfc. Manning who allegedly stole the documents, in the brig and the public mixed on who is culprit and who is hero. But what I find strange is that we have not heard much from the President Obama administration. I guess top cop, Attorney General Eric Holder is at the moment too busy helping Islamic public school teacher sue the Illinois School District over being denied leave to go Mecca in the middle of her contracted teaching calendar.

But it occurs to me that once US and global outrage reaches a certain level we’ll be hearing from the FCC and the Genachowski crowd again as they try to regulate the internet and other means of communication. There are numerous reasons for wanting this: 1) if it moves, tax it and 2) it gives them a way to quiet the conservative viewpoint which is hugely successful due to talk radio, conservatives websites and a freely expressed conservative viewpoint which is likely the reason for the huge turn over politically on Nov. 2nd, and 3) it provides cover for the government’s sometimes double-dealing, underhanded and nefarious activities.

If you’re at all confused what to think, go back and re-read to the first sentence.

A Bullet Dodged

December 1, 2010

Okay, we dodged the proverbial bullet here. The Democrats wanted so badly to hand the President the reconciled Food Safety bill for his signature in this lame duck session after passing Senate Bill 510 yesterday. It would have been yet another sweeping federal regulatory bill (after health care and financial reform) they wanted to pin up as a victory.

But, according to HotAir this morning, Section 107 of the bill raises taxes (imagine that), and only the House of Representatives has that power per the Constitution. Proving once again, they no longer pay attention to that pesky document. Thankfully, there probably will not be enough time now before the end of the session to fix it. Whew!

But what’s it all about when it rears its ugly head again?

“An excessively costly or unprofitable undertaking”

is my favorite definition from my handy-dandy online dictionary/thesaurus for the word folly. What could better describe the Food Safety Modernization Act (S.510)?

Consider the impact of this additional bit of federal over-reach and regulation on our farms, farmers and farmer’s markets around the country. The latter being the avenue for the very best food anywhere, not to mention the safest and most fresh with the least carbon footprint!

Small farms (producing less than $500K/yr) are exempt from the bulk of the bill, but any setting where food is sold (farmer’s markets, county fairs, student bake sales?) will be more regulated and therefore more costly. $500,000 gross receipts seems like a lot until compared to the penalty for denying federal agents unlimited, random access to a farm’s fields, properties, products and records, which could be as much as $1,000,000!  And the penalty for not registering is up to $1,000,000. A tad heavy-handed. Can you see any possibility for thuggery, malfeasance or competitive pressure on the many, small mostly, non-unionized farms when you have big operators like ConAgra or Monsanto in support of this legislation?

Oh and by the way, it gives the FDA authority to hire 17,800 new inspectors and applies U.S. safety standards to foreign food suppliers, once again killing private sector jobs and increasing the federal bureaucracy.

But don’t worry. Surely you remember Mr. Obama’s concern that federal workers should share in the sacrifice of these tough times in his recently heralded federal pay freeze which more accurately should be called a pay guarantee, for the next 2 years. Never mind the pay cuts and furloughs in the real world. Don’t you wish you had that safety net? And since wishes are free, I wish Congress would spend more time on the huge tax increases that will go into effect Jan 1, 2011 if they don’t hammer out their differences, finalize and make permanent the Bush tax cuts.
