Pray For This Woman, Her Life Is In Danger

April 30, 2018

Maybe you’ve heard that Saudi women will soon be permitted to drive and that the ladies can now go to the movies despite Saudi Arabia’s highest religious authority, publicly called commercial films a source of “depravity”.

Sports arenas have also opened to females but I fear for this lady who has posted a promotional video for a gym in Saudi Arabia’s capital. It may just have been too much of a shock to the heavy-handed protectors (known as Sharia police) of their twisted morality. It was simply more than they could take. Saudi sports authority chief Turki al-Sheikh announced the suspension of the gym’s license on Twitter, tweeting: “We are not going to tolerate this.”

Pray for this lady. The heathens, in my opinion are just not ready for this kind of disrespect.

The video, shot and uploaded by Kuwaiti social media guru and TV presenter Halima Boland, contained footage which could ‘corrupt public morals’. After all, it shows a woman in a tank top and tight pants with her hair uncovered. Al-Sheikh has ordered officials to investigate and prosecute those behind the video at the gym in in the capital of Riyadh, according to reports. BTW, I might note this is a “women’s only gym, so what’s the problem? Oh, the posting it online is the problem.

After a ban of more than 35 years Saudi Arabia has opened the first public cinema lifting the ban as part of ambitious economic and social reforms pushed by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman who is trying to broaden the economy and lessen its dependence on oil. According to The Guardian last month alone, women were told they could join the military and the intelligence service. Driving schools will soon open for women who can legally take to the roads on their own in June.

Nothing like a little freedom at the wheel!
