Hawaii Health Connector Website; Same Vendor, Same Results as Healthcare.Gov

I don’t know if it’s the Abercrombie-Obama affinity or what (Abercrombie claims to have been there when Obama was born) but Abercrombie hired the same, non-bid web builder, CGI as the Obama administration did to design and set up our healthcare exchange, the Hawaii Health Connector and the results have been just as calamitous.

Hat-tip Senator Sam Slom, Hawaii’s lone Republican State Senator of Small Business Hawaii. From Slom:

“Oh-Bummer-care:  Taxpayers have spent $200 million to establish the network for the Affordable Care Act in Hawaii – $53 million on just the Hawaii Health Connector web site development and management alone. However, so far, just 257 individuals have secured healthcare through the exchange. Some 113 employers submitted applications though the exchange, but have not yet selected plan.”

And Honolulu Civil Beat reports today that the executive director in charge of implementing the Affordable Care Act in Hawaii, announced Friday that she will be resigning Dec. 6. Can’t take the heat apparently. And they have no one qualified to take the position. Imagine that and welcome to government-run health care.

Keep this in mind if you really believe the NSA will be restricted from collecting private data on American citizens.

Keep this in mind if you believe the IRS is not being used as a political strong-arm of the president.

Keep this in mind if you believe that any immigration bill passed by congress will secure the border.

Who Says There’s No Bipartisan Support for Anything in Washington D.C.?

To say there was strong bipartisan support and pressure from both sides of the political aisle would not be an exaggeration. This is probably the only time both political parties come together on issues in Washington, and that would be any time they have an opportunity to stick it to the American taxpayer!

Representative Sheila Jackson Lee (D, TX) extolled the victory on Twitter:

“It’s official:  Members of Congress and congressional staff will keep their health subsidies under Obamacare!”

One Senator however, David Vitter (R, LA) is outraged and sent a letter to both party’s leadership blasting them for this “particularly offensive and obnoxious bailout” which he says was “pulled out of thin air. The Obamacare fix for Congress & bureaucrats is why the American people despise Congress.”

According to CNS News, the original provision of the law required lawmakers and their staffs to enroll in the exchanges just like their fellow Americans, but under the recent ruling (once again illegally skirting the original law) encouraged by Obama and most in Congress, the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) ruled that members of Congress & their staff will keep their Federal Employees Health Benefits Plan (FEHBP) and not go into the exchanges. The FEHBP, BTW is heavily subsidized (75%) by the federal government (you & me).

Take a gander at those who want or have been granted exemption from Obamacare:

• The senior Democratic staff who wrote the bill (remember not one Republican voted for Obamacare)
• According the HHS roughly 1,200 companies received waivers from parts of the law (mostly Obama supporters or those working for unions that supported Obama)
• American Indians who belong to one of about 560 tribes (as many as 480,000 affected & exempted)
• Members of any exempt religious sect or division. Muslims, Christian Scientists, and the Amish will likely be recognized due to their moral conflict with insurance. Will the same be applied with those who have a moral conflict with abortion?
• The entire IRS agency -those charged with enforcing it!
• The President, Vice-President and Cabinet Members

This One’s Up To Us. “We The People”

The last best hope for getting rid of Obamacare is up to us folks. Congress has only 9 working days after returning from the current recess to fund the Continuing Resolution to fund the government. The only way to get rid of Obamacare now is to refuse to fund any part of it. Click this link, scroll down and start calling -even if you’ve never done it before. Now is the time to GET OFF YOUR BUTTS!

Congress will only do it if they hear from MILLIONS of us. They don’t have the backbone or political will to do what’s right for America unless forced. The only thing that will force them to do it is fear of being thrown out of office.

Last week the IRS, the very department charged with enforcing Obamacare has gone to Congress asking to be exempted from Obamacare! This is pure unadulterated gall! And those in Congress and their aides who will be forced to buy insurance under Obamacare (leaders in both parties & their staff have already been exempted), according to the EIB Network, will be lavished with taxpayer-funded subsidies to the tune of 75%.

There is NO Measure of the Gall These People Can Come Up With!

Follow me here for just a second. First Lois Lerner responds to a planted question yielding her off the cuff apology for the IRS unfairly targeting (is there a justification for any targeting by the IRS?), Tea Party & conservative groups.

Next we learn the broad in charge on the division go after tax exempt organizations doesn’t get fired (“acting” IRS Commissioner Steven Miller, due to retire in 2 weeks instead, took the fall), she gets huge bonuses & a promotion and will now become the IRS Obamacare muscle.

Then, even though he’s resigned, fired -whatever, Steven Miller goes in front of the committee day after day, and “can’t recall”, “doesn’t remember”, “didn’t know anything” and didn’t lie”. Bull-crap. It just doesn’t pass any smell test. He lied his arse off!

Next NTEU, the union which represents the National Treasury Employees (IRS) have asked to be exempted from Obamacare. How cheeky is this?? Pretty damn is how cheeky it is. They lobbied for Obamacare, they were in his corner all the way with Obama’s massive takeover of one-fifth of the economy. Then they harassed and delayed tea party and conservative groups’ tax exempt status ensuring Obama’s re-election and success, and NOW they want to be exempt from Obamacare!

But that’s all past history “it happened so long ago” as Jay Carney said of Benghazi. Today, the Internal Revenue Service has decided to thumb their noses at us once again according to this announcement on the IRS Website,

“Due to the current budget situation, all IRS offices will be closed on May 24, June 14, July 5, July 22 and August 30.”

“Up yours Mr. & Mrs. Public, we’ll take as many 3-day weekends as we can possibly get away with”.

Oh, and one more thing, Lois-baby has been put on administrative leave. That means a free, paid vacation for who knows how long, courtesy of the US taxpayer. Like I said, there is NO measure of the gall these people have.

She May Look Like SNL’s ‘Church Lady’, But This Broad Responsible for IRS’s Tea Party Malfeasance is Now Our Obamacare Enforcer

Lest anyone be impressed by Obama’s quick (okay, not so quick) dismissal of the “acting” IRS Commissioner Steven Miller, who later bragged that his assignment was to end in June anyway), you need to know that the person who was actually in charge of targeting conservative organizations as well as certain Jewish groups received over $100,000 in bonuses (hat-tip Drudge).

But there may be hope if Mr. “Thrill up my leg” Chris Mathews has second thoughts.

• The quiet resignation of former Hillary Clinton’s chief of staff, Huma Abedin due to her not wanting to disclosed lawfully required association with known terrorist group the Muslim Brotherhood
• Continued financial crimes committed by the “Too Big to Jail” banksters
• Sexual scandals in the military committed by person or persons put in charge of investigating sexual harassment
• The serial trampling of our Bill of Rights and the US Constitution
